Passenger traffic and GDP at EU level

  • Passenger traffic has been growing at a lower rate as the GDP since 2016 at EU level, as shown by the slight decrease of the passenger transport intensity (pkm/GDP). Previously, it was rather stable between 2011 and 2016 and it grew slower than GDP over 2003-2008 and then 2009-2011.
