CO2 emissions from fuel combustion
CO2 emissions from fuel combustion in industry have been decreasing since 2000 in almost all countries (-38% at EU level). This trend continued for the period 2010-2023, although 3 countries saw their emissions increase significantly during this period: Malta (+110%), Bulgaria (+21%) and Hungary (+21%). Estonia, Finland and Latvia achieved a very large reduction with more than 45% less emissions in 2023 compared to 2010.
